Carl Eckstein, Managing Director, NextGen Capital and Senior Partner, SunDial Strategies, has over thirty years of experience as a venture capitalist, consultant and the owner of two software firms. As co-founder of Putney & Eckstein, Inc., his focus was mergers and acquisitions, and strategic management. As a principal with Arthur Young, a consultant at Price Waterhouse, and a systems engineer at IBM, Carl helped re-engineer businesses to leverage emerging information technology. His software businesses were engaged in GIS and information technology consulting. Mr. Eckstein earned a BS in microbiology from Ohio State University.
Dr. Gerald "Mac" McNichols, has served on: the Corporate Advisory Board of The Institute for the Integration of Management and Engineering (TIIME) of Case Western Reserve University; President of the Rondelay Civic Association; President of the Institute of Cost Analysis; President of the Association of Small, Research & Technology Companies; President of Realty Media, Inc.; Vice President-Administration, and Treasurer of the Military Operations Research Society; Council Member of INFORMS (ORSA); Director, International Society of Parametric Analysts; President, Washington Operations Research Council; Vice-President, GENTECH, Inc.; Special Assistant to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Resource Analysis); Member of Sigma Xi. MCR was honored as an “Inc. 500”, “Washington Fast 50”, “National 500”, and “Virginia Fantastic 50” Company.
Former US Air Force Secretary Michael W. Wynn, is a business executive and was the 21st Secretary of the US Air Force. Upon receiving a bachelors degree in engineering from West Point Military Academy, Wynne served in the Air Force for seven years, ending his career as captain and assistant professor of astronautics at the US Air Force Academy. Wynne spent over 25 years in the private sector, including time in small technology companies, as Principal at Research Analysis and Development, various executive positions with General Dynamics, and as General Manager of the Lockheed Martin (then Martin Marietta) Space Launch Systems segment. In addition to his service as Secretary of the Air Force, his recent public service experience includes Principal Deputy Undersecretary; and then Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition Technology and Logistics with wide ranging responsibilities in technology and development.
